What time of the day do you offer appointments?

I typically offer appointments during the daytime and evening time. I have found that a great time to meet is after all of the chaos of the day has slowed down, allowing you to de-stress and relax. If you have children we can meet after they go to sleep allowing you to fully focus on yourself.

What is a Superbill and how do I use my Out-Of-Network health benefits to pay for therapy?

A Superbill is an itemized receipt that I can give to you so that you can submit it directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. Utilizing your out-of-network benefits can be a great way to receive counseling services.

What length of therapy sessions do you offer?

I offer both 30-minute focused and 50-minute traditional sessions.

The 30-minute focused session is perfect if you want to quickly check-in or you’re wanting to focus on a specific issue that suddenly pops up.

The 50-minute traditional session is where we can cover existing or deeper concerns and still have time to focus on moving forward.

Do you provide online therapy?

Yes. At this time I only provide online therapy (teletherapy). Online therapy is perfect if you travel for work or with your family, it eliminates commute times, and cuts out the need for childcare. Plus, it allows for us to meet at unconventional times, like after you put your kids to bed at night. All you’ll need is your computer or smartphone and a pair of earphones with a microphone. Super simple and convenient! In-person sessions coming soon in Myrtle Beach, SC.

I would like to schedule an appointment. Where do I have to live to work with you?

If you are seeking counseling I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in both South Carolina and West Virginia. If you have a permanent residence in either of these states we can work together.

If you are seeking coaching or consultation services we can work together, no matter which state you reside in the United States.

How confidential are our therapy sessions?

All of our sessions will be conducted virtually and I am unable to control who hears our sessions on your end of the computer. You will need to be mindful of those around you and should only participate in our sessions at your discretion. On my end I will utilize a private space and earphones during each session so that no one but myself will hear our conversation. Confidentiality is limited to the environment in which each session takes place.

What is the difference between counseling and consulting?

Mental health counseling and/or therapy is only available for clients 18+ that live in South Carolina or West Virginia. I am licensed in both states by the state counseling boards and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), as well as a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC).

Coaching and consulting services are available to anyone within the United States, no matter which state you reside. Consultations include college and professional athletes, and pre-marital and marital relationships.
